artemis is sailorvenus's cat guardian. he discovered sailorvenus on his own, while living in england. artemis is white with a gold crescent moon upon his forehead, and his personality is cool and flirtatious. he's a pretty good leader, though he's a little rash...that's why he has luna to help. ^_^ artemis is my favourite moon kitty.. gotta love that smooth personality!

just like luna, artemis is from the planet mau, and can speak "human". he was an advisor to queen selenity in the time of the old moon kingdom. when the kingdom was being destroyed by the dark forces, queen selenity sacrificed her own life for her subjects, and sent all the senshi (including the cats) to earth. artemis's mission on earth is to rediscover the senshi, and bring them together as a team.

in the future, artemis and luna (sailormoon's guardian cat) have a lil kitten, whose name is diana. diana drops into the past, and "hugs" artemis, telling him that she is his daughter. when luna finds out, she's maaaad! luna thinks that artemis had another girlfriend who is diana's mother. artemis is very stressed-out, not knowing why luna is so mad at first. eep! at the end, though, everything is straightened out, and they become a happy family.

in sailormoon manga number fourteen, artemis turns back into a human. he becomes a very handsome man with long white/silver hair, a golden crescent moon upon his forehead, and odd clothing (especially his shirt; it has a little opening to show off his navel). even minako looked a bit surprised by how cute artemis was! ^_^ luna has such good taste, hehe!
